One thing ...Thanks for hosting me A.J.!!! Hi Alex!<br /><br />One thing I forgot to mention was that in 1862, the Confederacy discussed raising 20 regiments of pikemen. This Confederacy had a shortage of firearms at this time so that's probably the reason. Nothing came of it, however.<br /><br />Both navies used boarding pikes, a shorter version of the pike not dissimilar to the medieval spear.
